NIEX 2026 – KSA/Gold DofE Practice Expedition

Applications are now open for NIEX 2026! This is an exciting opportunity for those working towards their King’s Scout Award/DofE Gold to take part in a challenging expedition programme.
At a glance:
- Open to participants aged 16+ by 1 February 2026, and under 25 by 1 September 2026.
- Cost: Around £475 (no more than £500 in total, payable in instalments).
- Includes a Practice Expedition in the Mourne Mountains and a Qualifying Expedition in the Lake District, England.
- Mandatory attendance at all listed training, practice, and qualifying expeditions.
