Windsor Celebrations for Scouts NI

Date: 1st May 2025 Author: Phoebe McDowell

Over the weekend, Scouts from across the UK came together at Windsor Castle for the Scouts’ Day of Celebration and Achievement – and members from Scouts NI were right at the heart of it.

The event recognises some of the most dedicated and inspiring people in our movement. From young people receiving their King’s Scout Award – the highest award a Scout can earn – to adult volunteers honoured with St George’s Day Awards and more, it was a day full of pride, smiles, and celebration.

Held in the historic grounds of Windsor Castle, the day brought together award recipients, family and friends, Scout Ambassadors, and special guests including Chief Scout Dwayne Fields and HRH The Duke of Kent, who has supported Scouts for over 50 years.

It was a brilliant chance to celebrate the difference our people make – whether they’re supporting young people week in, week out or achieving something extraordinary through their Scouting journey.

Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients of the King’s Scout Award and adult awards – a fantastic achievement and well deserved by all!

Dwayne Fields proudly holds the title of the UK's 11th Chief Scout

An explorer, adventurer and TV presenter, Dwayne's been seen in BAFTA nominated Channel 5 series Race to the Pole, on BBC Springwatch, Countryfile, National Geographic and Disney+.
