Important AccessNI update

Date: 24th Jul 2026 Author: Phoebe McDowell

All volunteers are asked to note that the PIN number used for AccessNI Enhanced Disclosure Checks and Rechecks has changed with immediate effect.

New AccessNI PIN: 790871

Please ensure this new PIN is used for all new AccessNI Enhanced Disclosure applications submitted through NIDirect.

Remember: The Disclosure Process Has Two Steps

To complete an AccessNI disclosure application for Scouts NI, both of the following steps must be completed:

Step 1: Applicant Completes the Online AccessNI Application

Applicants should submit an Enhanced AccessNI application through NIDirect using the new PIN number above.

Apply online: https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/services/apply-online-enhanced-check-through-registered-body

Step 2: Applicant and ID Checker Complete the Identity Check

An identity check must then be completed on the Scouts Membership System by the applicant and an authorised ID checker.

Guidance for completing the ID check: https://www.scouts.org.uk/volunteers/volunteer-experience/digital-tool-guides/disclosures/#RequestADisclosureInNorthernIreland
