Cub Unihoc Finals 2025

Date: 10th Dec 2025 Author: Phoebe McDowell

A brilliant Saturday of Cub energy filled Allen Park, Antrim on 29 November as 12 Cub Packs from across NI came together for the Cub Unihoc Finals. The atmosphere was buzzing, the competition fast, and the sportsmanship exactly what you’d hope to see from our mighty Cubs.

The round-robin matches kept every team on the move, with Cub Core Team member Hannah and Explorer Charly keeping games flowing at top speed. Huge thanks to all the District volunteer umpires who stepped in for the day, and to Hillsborough for supplying the kit that kept everything running smoothly.

After a fierce final, 99th Belfast lifted the gold, with Hillsborough taking silver. 4th Belfast claimed third place, and Killyman secured a strong fourth. Every Cub played their heart out, and the sidelines were packed with excitement all day long.

Next up for Cubs is the NI Quiz Final on 1 March 2026. Districts, please send your top two teams plus a runner-up by 20 February 2026 to cubs@scoutsni.org.

And for the badge lovers out there… the brand-new 110th Anniversary Badge is on its way. Cubs will be able to wear it proudly during this landmark year, with the winning design and how to buy it coming soon.

Many thanks,
Georgie Huston (NI Cub Team Lead) and the Cub Core Team
