Camping at Crawfordsburn 

Our campsite is our pride and joy, allowing young people to experience the joys of an open fire and a night under the stars, in a safe environment. 

Crawfordsburn Scout Centre is sited on 22 acres of land within Crawfordsburn Country park. With two primary locations given over to camping grounds both serviced by toilet and showering facilities. When camping with us you are not only limited to staying in a tent, for the more adventurous campers you could try using a hammock in our many wooded areas or try sleeping out in the open with a bivy bag!

Cooking & Fires

We have a number of open alter fires that can be booked, these are ideal for those that want to cook over an open fire.

For those groups using gas cookers, please be aware that your gas bottle must remain outside of any dining/cooking tent at all times. We also have a few places where you can light a fire on the ground.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
