Squirrels Day Out

Squirrels from across NI are invited to a day of space‑themed fun at Armagh Planetarium, packed with hands‑on activities, big discoveries and chances to try something new. It’s an adventure designed to spark curiosity, fuel imaginations and help our little ones learn by doing.
By taking part, Squirrels can earn their Space Explorer Activity Badge and may even tick off parts of their World Around Us Challenge Award.
What’s happening on the day:
9.45am – Arrival
Groups arrive at the Planetarium and are split into two sub‑groups.
10.00am – Activity Block 1
- Group 1: Digital Dome Theatre show
- Group 2: Space workshop and interactive exhibition
11.00am – Activity Block 2
- Group 2: Digital Dome Theatre show
- Group 1: Space workshop and interactive exhibition
12.00 noon – Outdoors (weather permitting)
Both groups explore the Astropark or depart. It’s a day full of discovery, teamwork and adventure and with nearly 200 Squirrels expected, we know spaces will go quickly.

- £10 per Squirrel (leaders go free)
- Squirrels should bring weather‑appropriate outdoor clothing.
