Belfast Pride 2025

On Saturday, we took to the streets of Belfast to take part in Belfast Pride 2025, joining thousands of people in one of the city’s most vibrant and welcoming celebrations.

Volunteers and young people from across NI proudly walked in the parade, representing Scouts NI alongside friends from Scouting Ireland, Catholic Guides of Ireland and Girlguiding Ulster. The day was filled with craic and connection – a great opportunity to show that everyone is welcome in Scouting.

“It was very special to be there, especially alongside our friends from other uniformed organisations, to show that everyone is welcome at our campfire.” said Adam McCambridge, who helped coordinate Scouts NI’s participation.
“It was very special to be there, standing side by side with others and showing just how much community matters in Scouting.”

Our presence at the event reflected the movement’s values of respect and belief. Everyone who attended helped demonstrate how Scouts creates meaningful connections and a sense of belonging for young people and adults.

“We’re proud of every single young person and volunteer who joined us,” Adam continued. “Events like this remind us how important it is to create welcoming spaces, where people can simply be themselves.”
