Windsor 2026: Celebrating achievement, service and belonging
On Sunday, we had the absolute privilege of attending the Day of Celebration and Achievement at Windsor Castle.
It was brilliant to see such a strong cohort of King’s Scout Award recipients from Northern Ireland being recognised – part of more than 400 young people from across the UK celebrated for their achievements. Each of them represents the very best of what Scouting is all about: commitment, leadership and developing skills for life.
Alongside them, volunteers were also honoured with Bar to the Silver Acorns and Silver Wolf Awards, recognising many years of outstanding and exceptional service to young people. Their dedication is at the heart of everything we do, and it was special to see that commitment acknowledged on such a significant day.
With the sun shining and Scouts from right across the UK coming together, the day was a powerful reminder of our shared purpose. Scouting is a place where everyone belongs, where young people are celebrated, volunteers are valued, and community truly matters.
We were also incredibly proud to see our own Emma Weir, NI Youth Lead, carry the St George’s Flag as part of the Colour Party. This is the first time in many years that Northern Ireland has been represented in the Colour Party, and it was a real privilege to witness. Well done, Emma.
Congratulations to everyone recognised!
