Top Awards and a Silver Surprise for 3rd Ards Cubs

Four Cubs from 3rd Newtownards (St Mark’s) had a day to remember at the Scouts NI Cub Quiz Final, held at Crawfordsburn Activity Centre.

Not only did Ethan, Logan, Grace and Lucas come second in the competition – showing off their teamwork and Scouting knowledge – but the highlight of their day came as a complete surprise.

The Cub team were awarded their Chief Scout Silver Awards by none other than Dwayne Fields, the Chief Scout himself! The young people were delighted to receive their Silver badges, marking the highest award in the Cub section, and even got Dwayne’s signature on their quiz certificates.

They were proudly supported on the day by their leaders Helen, Stephanie and Iris.

This celebration is a shining example of the skills, confidence and resilience young people develop through Scouting. Congratulations to all four Cubs on their well-deserved success!
