Small Coins, Big Impact

Date: 29th Aug 2025 Author: Phoebe McDowell

5th Ballymena Squirrels have once again shown their commitment to making a difference in their community through their annual charity appeal.

Each year, the Squirrels collect 20p coins in Smartie tubes for a chosen charity, learning the importance of teamwork, kindness, and helping others! This year, the young people raised an incredible £350 in support of Air Ambulance NI.

The Squirrels were proud to present the donation to charity representative Mrs Wallace, who visited the group to thank them personally for their fundraising efforts.

Well done to all the Squirrels who took part and to their leaders for encouraging such a fantastic initiative. Together, they’ve shown how even the smallest contributions can add up to make a big difference.
