Scout Raises £1,200 for Cancer Research UK

Date: 12th Sep 2025 Author: Phoebe McDowell

Over the summer, Scout Ethan from 1st Coleraine set himself the challenge of climbing Slieve Donard three times in July to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of his dad.

Ethan’s determination paid off, and he successfully completed his climbs, raising an incredible £1,200.

For the past three years, Ethan has taken on a different fundraising challenge each year, with a goal of continuing this tradition for 11 years. To date, he has already raised more than £10,000 – a truly fantastic achievement.

His fundraising journey is a great example of commitment and resilience.

We’re proud of you Ethan!
