NI Cubs race to success at The Supreme Box Kart Championships

Date: 16th Oct 2025 Author: Phoebe McDowell

NI Cubs were flying the flag high at The Supreme Box Kart Championships at Goodwood in Chichester.

Now in its 18th year, The Supreme is the only event of its kind for Cub Scouts and a real highlight in the calendar. This year, 40 teams from across all four home nations competed on the famous figure-of-eight track, each racing their homemade box karts in a series of fast-paced heats.

Representing NI, 12th Bangor Cubs gave it their all – racing their way into the final 16 shootouts. They even picked up two trophies: one for reaching the final 16 and another for achieving the highest overall score. After a nail-biting semi-final, they were just pipped at the post from making it to the final eight, but their energy and teamwork made everyone proud.

If you’d like your Cub Pack to take part next year, get in touch with Stephen Bell (NI Chief Volunteer), who can guide you through everything you need to know. It’s an unforgettable experience – and one your Cubs will be talking about for years to come!
