Explorer Belt 2024

Scouts NI are delighted to be announce that an Explorer Belt is being organised for the summer of 2024 and the details are below:

Location Belgium and Luxembourg

Cost £950

Dates 14 days between 28th June and 18th July 2024  (two week period is flexible due to flight availability and cost, we will know dates by early October 2023)

Maximum number of participants 30

Age range 18 to 24 years  (must be 18 years before 28th June 2024 and under 25 years by 18th July 2024) 

 

Cost structure

£250- due end of September 2023

£200- due end of November 2023

£200- due end of February 2024

£200- due end of April 2024

£100- due end of May 2024

 

There will be an information session held at Crawfordsburn Scout Centre on Sunday 24th September 2023 from 1:30pm – 4pm and to attend this you must fill out an expresion of interest form. At this weekend we will discuss the Explorer Belt and everything that it involves.  If there are more than 30 applicants, this session will become a selection session.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
