A Big First Milestone for Beavers

Date: 27th Jun 2025 Author: Phoebe McDowell

There were plenty of smiles and excitement recently as 1st Randalstown marked a special milestone – their first ever Beaver camp!

After a pause during Covid, the Beaver section was relaunched with the help of dedicated volunteers, and this weekend camp was a celebration of how far they’ve come. For many of the young people, it was their first night away from home with their friends – and a big adventure filled with games, campfires, and plenty of fun.

Leaders said the camp was a proud moment for the group and a great example of how Scouting helps young people gain confidence, try new things, and make memories that last a lifetime.

Well done to everyone involved in bringing the Beaver section back to life in the heart of the local Randalstown community – and here’s to many more adventures ahead!
