115th Belfast Go Red to Support Children’s Heartbeat Trust

Date: 7th Mar 2025 Author: Phoebe McDowell

115th Belfast Beavers and Squirrels went all out this February, hosting a ‘Rock Red’ fundraiser for the Children’s Heartbeat Trust. The event helped raise awareness of congenital heart disease – Northern Ireland’s most common birth defect – while supporting local heart children and their families.

The cause is especially meaningful for one of the 115th Belfast families, adding a personal touch to the event. Everyone embraced the theme by dressing in red and taking part in activities like a heartbeat quiz, a lively dance-off, and a heart rate challenge!

With a collection bucket at the door, the group raised an incredible £120 to help the charity continue its vital work.

This fantastic effort showcases our Scouting values – bringing people together, making a difference, and having fun along the way.

Well done to 115th Belfast for their brilliant support!
