Mental Health & Wellbeing: Scouts NI & Reach Mentoring

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Reach Mentoring to support the mental and emotional health of our young people.

Reach Mentoring have developed an exciting set of resources designed to be integrated into your Section programmes, fostering resilience, social well-being, and self-care skills from Squirrels right through to Explorers.

The programme is split into two leader guides, each structured around four core sessions: Mental and Emotional Health, Physical Health, Social Wellbeing, and Self-care.

1. Primary Resource (Squirrels, Beavers, and Cubs)

Below is a dedicated resource for our youngest members, focusing on age-appropriate activities and discussions.

2. Post-Primary Programme & Journal (Scouts and Explorers)

This guide offers four in-depth sessions for our older sections. It is accompanied by a Wellbeing Journal for personal reflection, goal setting, and self-care exercises.

To ensure all leaders are confident and well-equipped to deliver this new programme, Reach Mentoring will host four online training sessions.
