A proud moment for Ballinderry Scouts

Date: 6th Feb 2026 Author: Phoebe McDowell

Ballinderry Scout Group is celebrating after being awarded the District TJ Fennig Award for Leadership, recognising the hard work, commitment and teamwork that has helped the Group go from strength to strength.

The award was presented at the Lisburn District AGM in January, where leaders from across the District came together to reflect on the year ahead. It was also the first District programme meeting of the year, with a great turnout.

The Jeff Fenning Trophy for Outstanding Achievement was accepted on behalf of Ballinderry Scout Group by Elisabeth Magee, marking a proud moment for leaders and volunteers who give their time week in, week out to support young people.

District leads praised the Group’s leadership and thanked the team for the dedication that has made Ballinderry Scouts such a success to date.

This recognition reflects what Scouts is all about – volunteers playing their part, supporting young people to build confidence, teamwork and leadership, and creating a strong sense of belonging in their local community.

Well done everyone!
