A Day of Big Questions at the Ulster Aviation Society
In November, 38 Cubs and their leaders from across South East Antrim set off on an exciting adventure to the Ulster Aviation Society in Lisburn and what a day it turned out to be.
Groups from Whitehouse, Ballynure, Larne, Monkstown and Whitehead joined together to explore the impressive collection of aircraft, hear real stories from aviation experts, and get up close to the engineering that keeps planes in the air. It was a day full of big questions and plenty of “give it a go” moments!
The UAS staff were quick to praise the Cubs for their behaviour and enthusiasm throughout the visit. With such positive feedback, plans are already taking off for another visit around Easter.
A big thank you to all the leaders and volunteers who made the day happen and helped create such a memorable learning experience for the Cubs.
