World Scout Jamboree 2027
The next World Scout Jamboree is on the horizon – and we’re heading to Poland!
Taking place in the summer of 2027, the World Scout Jamboree will bring together thousands of Scouts from around the globe for an unforgettable adventure of culture, friendship, and skill-building.
We’re now recruiting Unit Leaders and Assistant Unit Leaders to take our young people on this journey of a lifetime.
What’s Involved?
Being part of the leadership team is a unique and rewarding experience. You’ll help prepare a unit of young people for the adventure, support them every step of the way, and represent Scouts and the UK on the world stage.
Here’s what Richard Morrow, Unit Leader for WSJ25 in Korea said about his experiences and for leaders considering being part of the unit leadership team:
“Being a Unit Leader for a World Scout Jamboree is an adventure like no other. It’s tough – you’ll spend two years thinking on your feet, adapting, and giving your all – but the rewards are incredible. I had the privilege of leading Northern Ireland’s ‘The Wee Buns’ to the 25th World Scout Jamboree in Korea, and the real magic wasn’t just the Jamboree itself – it was in the journey there. Bringing together 36 young people from across NI, I watched them bond, grow, and learn from each other, even before we experienced a new culture on the world stage. Along the way, we didn’t just discover Korean traditions – we learned more about who we are and where we come from too.
Now, as we look towards the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland, there’s a new call: to step bravely into the future, inspiring young people to act courageously for humanity and the planet. As a Unit Leader, you’ll help shape that future – giving young people the confidence to be bold, build global friendships, and believe they can make a difference. About the 2027 Jamboree in Poland
The World Scout Jamboree 2027 will be hosted in Gdańsk, Poland, under the theme “Bravely.”
It promises a programme packed with adventure, global friendships, and a celebration of Scouting values.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity — both for young people and for adult volunteers like you.
Recruitment Timeline
- 1st May 2025 – Applications open
- 31st May 2025 – Applications close
- 3rd June 2025 – Invitation to selection event sent
- 13th–15th June 2025 – Selection event held
- 24th June 2025 – Applicants notified of outcome
