Scouts NI Development Toolkit

Date: 30th Sep 2022 Author: Pamela Hale

The Development Toolkits for each Section, Group, County and District are now Northern Ireland specific and have been reviewed to allow them to be more user friendly.  We merged the RAG Development Planning Toolkit with the Quality of Programme Checker to create one easy to use document.  This will enable even more Groups to measure the quality of their programme and draw up a prioritised development plan addressing the need of their Group and community.

We hope these Toolkits will provide a simple way to reflect on your Group, your young people and your programme and as you complete these it this will enable your District/County to identify training and development needs.

We would encourage you to complete these as we aim to grow Scouting across Northern Ireland and provide our young people with high-quality programmes, adventure and life skills.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
