NI Climate Action Plan Youth Consultation Events

Date: 21st Sep 2023 Author: Emma Stevenson

Dept for Agriculture, Environmental and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is developing Northern Ireland’s first Climate Action Plan for 2023-2027 and will set out how we intend to manage greenhouse gas emissions and achieve Net Zero by 2050.

EA Youth Service, in partnership with DAERA, are holding two youth consultation events to find out what young people think about the new plans for the path to Net Zero and the Carbon Budget. These events are for young people aged 15-24 and can choose between Belfast and Derry/Londonderry locations.

27th September 2023: NW Learning Disability Centre, 30 Foyle Road, Derry/Londonderry, BT48 6SQ

 28th September 2023: Community & Culture Hub, 2 Royal Avenue, Belfast, BT1 1DA

Each event begins at 6pm with food and refreshments and will finish by 9pm.

EA and DAERA would love for you to attend with a group of young people who are interested in having their voices heard about climate action.
