Roped Activities

Crawfordsburn has roped activities for all age groups allowing young people to progress, develop their skills and push their boundaries.

Our Activities Team encourage everyone to have a go, whether you reach the top or not. Your young people can also try their hand at belaying (bell ringing), allowing those with mobility issues to get involved, whilst introducing basic climbing skills.

3G Swing

This activity is a great activity to push people out of their comfort zones. The swing is fantastic for all ages and abilities as the release height is variable and is perfect for those who are looking for an adrenaline rush.

Abseil

The Abseil is a fantastic activity to get out of your comfort zone as they lean back out over the edge and begin their descent! With our supportive staff there to support you there is no limit to what you can achieve!

Climbing

Climbing is a sport that is accessible to many and can be used as a great medium for personal development by pushing people out of their comfort zones both physically and mentally while participating in a safe environment.

Crate Climb

Crate Climbing is a fantastic team exercise that helps to build trust and bonds in the group. It also helps to improve balance and self-confidence as you build your tower ever higher while balancing on top.

Zip Line

The Zip line is a fun adrenaline filled activity. However, to get to the fun they must first overcome the climb. This activity encourages participants to overcome fears and continues to help build a supporting culture within the group.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
