Managers and Supporters Learning – Skills of Management

This is essential learning for Managers and Supporters in Scouting.

Participants will learn how to run effective meetings, onboard new members, and build positive relationships.

 

The training will include the following elements:

  • Leadership styles and their impact and management.
  • Effective communication
  • Effective feedback and reviews.
  • Active listening and providing constructive feedback.
  • Basic coaching techniques and developing teams / individuals. Creating effective action plans.
  • Motivating / developing individuals and teams.
  • Plan and run effective meetings / on-boarding sessions.
  • Building positive effective relationships.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
