SUMMARY:Hill Walking Training Day
DESCRIPTION:If you’re working towards a Hill Walking permit or you simply want to feel more confident leading days in the hills – our Hill Skills Training Day is designed with you in mind. \n\nThis is practical\, supportive training that builds on Hill Skills 1 and focuses on the real skills leaders use in the hills: sound navigation\, solid planning and making good decisions when conditions\, people and plans don’t quite line up. \nThe training takes place across two sessions. The daytime session runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm and is based in the hills\, consolidating core navigation skills and developing confidence away from paths and into open terrain. The evening session\, 6.30pm to 8.30pm\, focuses on night and poor‑weather navigation\, planning\, assessing risk and understanding what’s expected for permit assessment and hill walking events within Scouts. \nTogether\, the two sessions provide essential preparation for the Hill Walking Permit Assessment taking place in March. \nYou’ll leave with a clearer understanding\, stronger confidence and practical tools you can put straight into use with your section. \nHill Walking Training Day – Additional Information \nLimited spaces – please register below: \nhttps://form.jotform.com/ScoutsNI/hill-walking-training-day-1-march
