Explorer Survival Camp Crawfordsburn Scout Centre
Friday 22nd September to Sunday 24th September 2023
Why don’t you encourage your Explorers to attend a challenging but fun weekend to learn new skills that will help them survive, different methods of lighting fires, making their own overnight shelter, finding and preparing foods, navigating using nature, meeting up with other Explorers and achieving the requirements for the Survival Skills Activity Badge and parts of other Explorer Badges. The skills and activities during the weekend are facilitated by the Army.
Tickets must be booked by Explorer Leaders, cost per Explorer is £35 and numbers are capped at 100 Explorers participating. Please purchase one ticket for each young person attending. Each unit booking must include at least one leader who will accompany the participants around the bases for the duration of the event. Leaders attend the camp for free. If you have any queries about leader aspects please contact explorers@scoutsni.org.
Completing the ticket details: 1) the name, contact details, membership number refer to the Leader(s) accompanying the group. 2. Only the question on dietary requirements relates to the young person so there is food to meet their needs during the camp.
Please note: This weekend will include the same events as last year, so to allow as many Explorers as possible the opportunity to participate, if the Explorer has already attended last year and wishes to attend again then please contact pamelaemerson@scoutsni.org and their name will be put on a waiting list and if there are still spaces left on 15th September then they may be offered a place, but we expect the event to be sold out as it was so popular last year.
