SUMMARY:The Big Crawfordsburn Sleep Out
DESCRIPTION:Could you spend a night without a tent? \n\nMost camps involve putting one up. This one doesn’t. \nThis November\, Scouts and Explorer Scouts will spend the night at Crawfordsburn Activity Centre sleeping in emergency shelters instead of tents as part of Simon Community NI’s campaign to raise awareness of homelessness. \nYou’ll hear from the team at Simon Community NI\, take part in activities across the evening and learn more about the challenges some people face when they don’t have a place to call home. Along the way\, you’ll meet other young people from across Northern Ireland\, earn an event badge and enjoy supper and breakfast provided by our World Scout Jamboree teams. \nIt’s a Nights Away experience that’s a little different. One that gets you thinking\, sparks conversations and helps support an important local charity. \n\nCost: £15 per person (including leaders)\nLocation: Crawfordsburn Activity Centre\nDate: 13-14 November 2026\nIncludes: Event badge\, supper\, breakfast and activities. Part of the event fee will be donated to Simon Community NI. Attendees are also asked to donate one item for Simon Community NI’s Home Packs.\n\nTake on the challenge. Booking opens soon.
