DESCRIPTION:Scouting has one core purpose: delivering a high-quality programme for young people through strong\, effective leadership. \nConnect26 is Scouts NI’s first leadership conference\, bringing together volunteers from across Northern Ireland to connect\, learn and prepare for the future of Scouting. \nOur focus for 2026–27 is simple: \n\nConnect – Bringing people together with purpose.\nEngage – Inspiring meaningful involvement and support.\nGrow – Expanding together in knowledge\, confidence and delivery.\n\nDay 1 – Saturday 24 October \nAudience: District representatives\, Team NI\, NI Staff\, NILT and Scouts UK guests. \nA day of keynote sessions\, workshops and discussion focused on: \n\nSafe Scouting\nStrategy in practice\nInclusive Scouting\nQuality programme delivery\nSupporting volunteers\nDifficult conversations\nYouth-shaped Scouting and leadership\n\nDay 2 – Sunday 25 October \nAudience: District Lead Volunteers\, Volunteer Development Team Leads\, Adventure Team members\, Permit Assessors\, NILT and Scouts UK guests. \nFocused sessions including: \n\nSafeguarding Masterclass with Scouts UK\nBuilding confidence in safeguarding processes\nSafe Scouting and adventure delivery\nPermit Review updates and best practice\n\nEach District will be invited to nominate representatives.
