1st Response Training

Leaders, is your First Response Certificate up to date? It requires to be renewed every 3 years.

There are three options available to you at present.

Option 1 Prior Learning

Have you completed First Aid through work or another organisation? Ensure your course covered the First Response syllabus Module 10 – First Response | Scouts.  If it did, send your certificate to your GSL or District Training Adviser who will ask for confirmation against the First Response syllabus.  If it has covered the same topics your compass record will be updated.

Option 2 Blended Approach

Hampshire Scout County Council have developed a blended approach using e-learning, one webinar and a practical assessment.

To register click the link HERE.

The course is made up of three steps which are:

Step 1: Complete E-Learning Module Approx 2.5 hours

Step 2: 1 webinar Approx 2.5 hour

Dates for webinar will be posted here and also emailed once you complete the E-Learning Module.

This completes Module 10A – First Aid Theory.

Step 3: Module 10B- Practical

Dates for the practical will be posted here and also emailed once you complete the webinar at step 2.

Option 3 Face – To – Face

District and County First Response training can recommence.  You should contact your local district team to check when their next face to face training session is being run.

If you have any questions, please email Ciaran or Danielle at 1stresponse@scoutsni.org
