Beaver Rally Day (review)

  Saturday 19th May 2018

A great day at our annual Beaver Rally Day in Crawfordsburn Scout Centre with 800 Beaver Scouts having fun in the sun taking part in lots of Carnival activities. Many thanks to Crafts 4 Christ, The Gathering Drum, Carnival Promotions, Beat Carnival, Kane Castles and all our scout volunteers that came in to run activities.

Proud to be preparing young people in Scouts with #skillsforlife #beaverrallyday2018

Thank to you Units 87 & 88, who will be attending the 24th World Scout Jamboree next year for selling some of their merchandise and helping with carnival games.

Also, thanks to the Scout Network members heading to Malawi in July, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, for providing delicious hotdogs, chocolate marshmallows and tea and coffee for the leaders.

Leader Development Day

Saturday 3rd February 2018

A great turn out at our Leader Development Day.  Focusing on the Challenge Award Badges, there was lots of discussion and taking part in activities such as kitemaking, tent pitching, and teamwork gamesetc. Thank you to our NI Beaver Team for organising and delivering the workshops, and also to Joan Reid from Speedwell Trust for delivering an informative workshop.

‘Rumble in the Jungle’ @ The Jungle NI

On Saturday 21st October we had our NI Beaver Adventure Day with approx. 300 Beaver Scouts completing lots of adventurous activities in conjunction with the BEAR adventure challenge award. Not a dry beaver in sight with all the liquid sunshine. Good to remind ourselves as leaders that kids just want to simply have fun even if it’s just the muck!!
